COURSE OVERVIEW<\/b><\/div>\n

Lasers, since their inception in the 1960s, have found their way into a plethora of applications, spanning engineering, biology, and industry. Despite their widespread use, lasers can pose a multitude of grave risks, such as the emission of dangerous biological or chemical fumes from lased materials and the potential to cause injuries to the eyes and skin due to laser radiation. High-powered lasers can even elicit lethal electrical and fire hazards. This Laser Safety (US) course elaborates on the risks posed by lasers and offers guidance on safe and secure usage and operation.<\/p>\n

      ONLINE COURSE DURATION<\/b><\/div>\n

      The course duration is approximately 60 minutes<\/p>\n

      PASS MARK<\/b><\/div>\n

      To reinforce the information disseminated, testing is conducted throughout this online course. A minimum score of 80% is required to pass this course. Participants have the option to attempt the course three times to achieve the pass mark. A comprehensive student manual, which serves as an excellent resource for future reference and knowledge retention, is available for download.<\/p>\n
