Modules 1 to 4 delve into the basics of workplace health and productivity as well as safety, offering guidelines on establishing and evaluating efficient health and safety initiatives. Modules 5, 6, and 7 then provide a blueprint for integrating these programs for augmented impact, including how to develop an overarching culture of health and safety. The course also includes instructions on using the Integrated Health and Safety Index, a novel tool that aids employers in setting up, measuring, and tracking integrated health and safety initiatives.<\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"><b>COURSE TOPICS<\/b><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The online Integrated Health and Safety course is composed of the following topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ACOEM (American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine)\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>HPM Strategies and Implementation<\/li>\n<li>Absenteeism and Presenteeism<\/li>\n<li>Trends Driving an HPM Philosophy<\/li>\n<li>Health Risks and Behaviors<\/li>\n<li>Investment and Management of Human Capital<\/li>\n<li>Workplace Fatalities, Injuries and Illnesses<\/li>\n<li>Effective Safety Programming<\/li>\n<li>Measuring Productivity &amp; Benchmarking Tools<\/li>\n<li>Leading and Lagging<\/li>\n<li> Implementing a Measurement Program<\/li>\n<li>Linking Health and Safety<\/li>\n<li>Health and Safety Culture<\/li>\n<li>Ensure a Safe and Healthy Workplace<\/li>\n<li>And more!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Upon completion of this course, you will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have a clear understanding of health and productivity management (HPM) and its principal components<\/li>\n<li>Know the key trends that are advancing the use of HPM in the workplace<\/li>\n<li>Recognize the impacts of poor health in the workplace<\/li>\n<li>Know how HPM adds value to an employer\u2019s healthcare strategies<\/li>\n<li>Understand the trends in workplace fatalities, injuries and illnesses<\/li>\n<li>Be able to describe the impact of safety on the workplace<\/li>\n<li>Recognize representative metrics used for quantifying health and productivity costs<\/li>\n<li>Characterize the features of available health and productivity measurement tools<\/li>\n<li>Recognize the role of leading and lagging indicators, key performance indicators (KPIs) and data selection in assessing safety<\/li>\n<li>Gain an understanding of concepts of the Integrated Health and Safety (IHS) Index<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"><b>ONLINE COURSE DURATION<\/b><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Approximately 5 hours<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"><b>PASS MARK<\/b><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Testing conducted in this online course is designed to reinforce the information provided. A score of 80% must be achieved to pass this course. The course can be attempted three times in efforts to achieve the pass mark. Printable resources are available in the form of a comprehensive student manual.
