All the components of this course have been designed with the direct participation of experienced First Responders who comprehend the mental health risks and challenges their colleagues face during and outside work hours.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of this program is to foster wellness in First Responders, offer knowledge and mindfulness on how to uphold mental and health wellness in your department, and provide an understanding of the resources that are accessible. The potential participants in this program within the First Responder community can include all operational personnel, dispatch, administrative and support staff, and even members of the First Responder\u2019s family.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"> <b>COURSE SUBJECTS<\/b><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><b>The following topics are addressed in the online awareness course segment of the program:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt\">Understanding of psychological health and wellness<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt\">The social stigma around mental health<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt\">The influence First Responder duties can have on mental wellness<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt\">Methods to foster resilience<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt\">Indicators of when assistance is required in oneself or in a colleague<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt\">Resources accessible to the First Responder community<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\">\n<p><b style=\"font-size: 18.0px\"><b>ONLINE\u00a0<\/b><\/b><b>COURSE LENGTH<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><b><br \/><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Online Course:\u00a0Roughly 75 minutes<\/p>\n<p><b><br \/><\/b><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\">\n<p><b>MINIMUM PASSING SCORE<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Testing performed throughout this online course is intended to reinforce the information taught. A score of 80% must be achieved to pass this course. The course can be taken three times in attempts to achieve the pass score. Printable resources are available in the form of a\u00a0detailed student handbook. The handbook is a valuable tool for future reference and knowledge retention.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\">\n<p><b>COMPLETION CERTIFICATE<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available for download and printing.\u00a0This course is recommended to be retaken every 3 years from the course completion date
