COURSE OVERVIEW<\/b><\/div>\n

This web-based course on HAZWOPER: Personal Protective Equipment & Decontamination Procedures is aimed at assisting facilities in adhering to OSHA’s HAZWOPER legislation (29 CFR 1910.120). The regulations stipulate diverse training requirements for employees, depending on their interaction level with hazardous materials. This course, as part of the HAZWOPER Annual Retraining Series, imparts knowledge to employees on the correct usage of personal protective equipment (like chemical protective attire) and the procedures for decontaminating accumulated impurities on clothing and equipment. Hazardous substances and waste are prevalent in numerous occupational settings and can be encountered on a wide variety of job sites. It is crucial for employees to be able to identify these potential hazards and to be equipped with the knowledge and skills to handle and discard them appropriately. OSHA insists that those working with such substances receive extensive training in this area.<\/p>\n
