The web-based Exposure Monitoring & Medical Surveillance course is curated to assist facilities in complying with OSHA’s HAZWOPER regulation (29 CFR 1910.120). The regulation includes diverse training requirements for employees based on their interaction level with hazardous materials. The Exposure Monitoring & Medical Surveillance course… a segment of the HAZWOPER Annual Retraining Series… sheds light on various exposure monitoring equipment and methodologies. It also introduces the concept of medical surveillance and its role in assessing the health of individuals who are regularly exposed to hazardous materials. Hazardous substances and waste are common in many work environments and can be found in a variety of job locations. OSHA emphasizes that every individual working with these substances must receive extensive training in this field, stressing the importance of recognizing, handling, and disposing of these substances appropriately. <\/p>\n

    Throughout the Exposure Monitoring & Medical Surveillance course, testing is conducted to reinforce the presented information. To pass the course, a score of 80% is required. The course can be attempted three times to achieve the passing score. A comprehensive student manual, which can serve as a valuable resource for future use and knowledge retention, is available for printing.<\/p>\n
