The ‘Walking and Working Surfaces in Construction Environments’ online course targets the dangers inherent in different surfaces and extends practical data and detailed guidelines to assist employees in avoiding slips, trips and falls at their workplaces. The surfaces we walk and work on daily are often overlooked; this is a severe oversight. Our reliance on these surfaces for correct positioning, efficient muscle usage, balance maintenance, and safe work execution is crucial. Yet, slips, trips and falls remain the leading source of workplace accidents. They account for nearly 20% of occupational injuries leading to disability, and cause thousands of deaths annually. The majority of these accidents could have been averted with proper training such as the ‘Walking and Working Surfaces in Construction Environments’ course.<\/p>\n
