The online course on Handling Hazardous Materials is strategically developed to aid establishments in adhering to OSHA’s HAZWOPER regulation (29 CFR 1910.120). The regulation outlines varied training prerequisites for employees based on their engagement level with hazardous materials. Hazardous substances and waste are prevalent in numerous workplaces and can be found across a myriad of job sites. The significance of employees’ ability to identify these potentially harmful substances, and to manage and discard them correctly, is so crucial that OSHA stipulates anyone dealing with these substances to undergo comprehensive training in this area.     Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to pass this course. The course is able to be taken three times in efforts to achieve the pass mark. Printable resources are available in the form of a comprehensive student manual. The manual is a valuable resource for future use and knowledge retention.<\/p>\n
