This web-based course, Drug and Alcohol Abuse for Managers and Supervisors, provides an in-depth insight into the issues of substance misuse, the repercussions it has on employees and their organizations, and the necessary actions to foster and uphold a substance-free workspace. The majority of individuals struggling with substance misuse are employed. It is estimated that one in ten employees grapples with a drug or alcohol issue. Their behavior under the influence can lead to a decline in productivity, create an unfavorable work environment, tarnish a company’s reputation, and more seriously, it can substantially increase the likelihood of accidents, injuries, and fatalities at the workplace.<\/p>\n
