While these figures are concerning, it&#8217;s equally important for employers to know that they are not authorized to conduct random substance tests on their employees unless backed by adequate documentation and evidence. This is where our training comes in. The Canadian Model suggests that supervisors undergo reasonable suspicion awareness training. Our digital course, Reasonable Suspicion and Managing Impairment for Supervisors, provides the necessary knowledge and expertise to detect and address substance misuse issues in the professional environment.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"> <b>COURSE TOPICS<\/b><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>This digital course, Reasonable Suspicion and Managing Impairment for Supervisors, includes the following subjects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An introduction to the topic<\/li>\n<li>Employer and employee obligations<\/li>\n<li>The characteristics of the modern workforce and how this impacts substance use trends<\/li>\n<li>Facts on medical and recreational cannabis use in Canada<\/li>\n<li>Tips for reviewing, updating and implementing your drug and alcohol policy<\/li>\n<li>Tips on when to use drug testing and why<\/li>\n<li>How to document reasonable suspicion and trigger testing<\/li>\n<li>Post-incident testing tips and timelines<\/li>\n<li>Tips on accommodating prescription drug use<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"title-bar\">  <b>ONLINE COURSE DURATION<\/b> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Estimated time of completion: 90 minutes<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"> <b>PASS MARK<\/b><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Students must score at least 80% to pass this course.
