COURSE OVERVIEW<\/b><\/div>\n

Harassment in the workplace can significantly affect an individual’s self-esteem. It can obstruct employees from carrying out their duties effectively. If workplace harassment is not addressed promptly, it can potentially escalate into violent behavior. Every worker deserves a safe and healthy work environment.<\/p>\n

The “Violence and Harassment in the Workplace” course teaches you about the occupational health and safety act that stipulates the requirements for violence and harassment policies in the workplace. The legislation through Bill 168, which became effective in 2010 and was further refined with Bill 132 in 2016, outlines the steps that employers must take to ensure a safe and equal workplace.<\/p>\n
