Our online course titled Materials Handling Safety imparts essential knowledge to employees for ensuring safety while handling and moving a diverse range of materials. Many workers may underestimate the importance of safety in materials handling, considering it a routine task. However, each year sees hundreds of thousands of accidents related to materials handling – ranging from minor splinters, scrapes or cuts, to severe injuries such as crushed fingers, hands and feet, and in extreme cases, fatalities. The course encompasses potential hazards, job planning, usage of personal protective equipment, correct techniques for lifting and moving, ergonomic aspects, usage of hand trucks, carts and pallet trucks, mechanical lifting devices, and more.<\/p>\n
