COURSE OVERVIEW<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

The Canada Labour Code serves as federal legislation that safeguards the rights of employers and employees, creating a structure for dispute resolution. The Canada Labour Code is divided into three components: Part I deals with industrial relations, Part II focuses on occupational health and safety, and Part III discusses standard hours, wages, vacations, and holidays. This course is dedicated to Part II of the Canada Labour Code.<\/p>\n

Our online program, Introduction to the Canada Labour Code – Part II, provides learners with a comprehensive understanding of federal health and safety laws, and outlines the health and safety practices and processes that must be adhered to in order to meet the Code\u2019s legal requirements. On completion of this course, participants should possess a comprehensive understanding of the information and terminology in the Canada Labour Code; the employers’ general and specific duties; the duties and rights of employees; the roles and responsibilities of policy health and safety committees, workplace health and safety committees, and health and safety representatives; and the responsibilities and powers of health and safety officers, in addition to enforcement options.<\/p>\n

    Estimated time of completion is 30 minutes<\/p>\n

    PASS MARK<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

    Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. The course is able to be taken three times in efforts to achieve the pass mark. Print materials for this course can be accessed online.<\/span><\/b><\/b><\/p>\n
