Given the potential threat posed by the uncontrolled release of hazardous materials\u2014such as harmful, flammable gases and waste\u2014to the workforce and the public, it is crucial that people are aware of the risks associated with these operations. Furthermore, Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) emphasizes the importance of emergency preparedness for establishments that handle or generate hazardous substances in significant quantities.<\/p>\n<p>On successful completion of this course, learners should be capable of identifying:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The origin and objectives of the EPCRA regulation<\/li>\n<li>The four distinct types of chemicals outlined in the regulation<\/li>\n<li>The emergency preparedness mandates of Section 302 and 303<\/li>\n<li>The emergency release notification mandates of Section 304, including potential release scenarios at a facility<\/li>\n<li>The mandates and exceptions for SDS submissions in Section 311 and chemical inventory reporting in Section 312, particularly Tier II reporting<\/li>\n<li>The mandates of toxic chemical release reporting in Section 313<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;float: none\"><b>COURSE TOPICS<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Origin and objectives of EPCRA<\/li>\n<li>Comprehensive overview of EPCRA sections and listed chemicals<\/li>\n<li>Emergency preparedness<\/li>\n<li>Emergency release notification<\/li>\n<li>SDS submissions and chemical inventory (Tier II)<\/li>\n<li>Toxic chemical release reporting (Form R)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;float: none\"><b>ONLINE COURSE DURATION<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Approximately 30 minutes<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"><b>PASS MARK<\/b><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented.
