Scissor lifts are elevated work platforms, vital in multiple industries such as manufacturing, retail, and construction. They offer workers vertical mobility and access to various locations without the need for ladders or scaffolding, thereby adding convenience to everyday tasks.<\/span><\/p>\n

Understanding and implementing scissor lift safety measures is vital, requiring knowledge of the equipment’s capabilities, restrictions, and safe handling procedures. In a single year, OSHA recorded 10 avoidable deaths and more than 20 preventable injuries from incidents involving scissor lifts. The majority of these accidents, as per OSHA’s investigations, resulted from lack of attention to fall protection, stabilization, and positioning.<\/p>\n
