Confined spaces, by their very nature, present a host of dangers. Lack of ventilation can lead to the accumulation and entrapment of hazardous gases. Moreover, other physical hazards can include engulfment, extreme temperatures, slippery surfaces, moving components, among others.<\/p>\n

The risks associated with hazardous waste cleanup sites are amplified when confined spaces come into the picture. Therefore, it is crucial for workers to comprehend their roles and responsibilities to ensure the safety of confined space entry operations. The HAZWOPER: Confined Spaces course aims to provide the crucial information to help avert injuries, diseases, and deaths that can occur from working in or near permit-required confined spaces at hazardous waste cleanup sites.<\/p>\n
