It offers key information that helps protect individuals from exposure and provides strategies for managing H2S-related emergencies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 14.0px\">Kindly note: This program does\u00a0<b> <b>not<\/b><\/b>\u00a0stand as an equivalent to the Energy Safety Canada\u00a0<b> <b>H2S Alive<\/b><\/b>\u00a0in-class training.<\/p>\n<p>This course is recognized by Alberta Environment &amp; Parks for Continuing Education Units.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 14.0px\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"><b>COURSE TOPICS<\/b><\/div>\n<div> <\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-size: 14.0px\">\n<li>H2S properties and formation<\/li>\n<li>Where H2S is found<\/li>\n<li>H2S statistics<\/li>\n<li>Atmospheric hazards<\/li>\n<li>Hazard assessment<\/li>\n<li>The hazard control hierarchy<\/li>\n<li>Legislated responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Personal protective equipment<\/li>\n<li>Types of respiratory equipment<\/li>\n<li>Selecting the correct respiratory PPE<\/li>\n<li>H2S measurements<\/li>\n<li>Safe working limits<\/li>\n<li>Detection devices<\/li>\n<li>Sampling<\/li>\n<li>Emergency scene management<\/li>\n<li>First aid for H2S exposure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"><span style=\"font-size: 18.0px;float: none\"> <b>ONLINE COURSE DURATION<\/b><\/span> <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div> Roughly 2 hours<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"><span style=\"font-size: 18.0px;float: none\"> <b>PASS MARK<\/b><\/span>   <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"font-size: 14.0px\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 14.0px\">Testing conducted throughout this online H2S course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion.
